Zero subscriptions. Zero cloud dependencies.
100% privacy. Business freedom, simplified.
You don’t control access, retention, or deletion. One policy change and everything moves.
Pay once. Own your tools forever. No renewals, surprise invoices, or access held hostage by another monthly bill.
Work locally without waiting on the cloud. Open your tools instantly whether or not a browser, login, or sync service is ready.
Keep sensitive business data on your own machine. Records, client details, and internal work stay where they belong — under your control.
Stop paying monthly for software you should own. Lower recurring overhead and keep more money inside the business you are building.
No subscriptions. No renewal emails. No access revoked when you miss a payment. Your license key is yours permanently — the day you buy it and the day after.
We're a small team of developers, designers, and privacy advocates who believe software should be owned — not rented. Pay once, own it outright, and never think twice about a billing cycle.
No accounts required. Full data export included with every product.

The short version: TakeHills software runs entirely on your computer. We collect almost no data about you. What's on your machine stays on your machine.
TakeHills is an independent software company building local-first, one-time-purchase tools for small businesses and freelancers. Products include Zahpy Pro, FinanceVault, PDFForge, and ClientVault.
When you visit our website, standard server logs may include your IP address (anonymised after 24h), browser type, and pages visited. When you purchase, our payment processor receives your payment details — TakeHills only receives your email to deliver your license key.
We use minimal cookies for session handling and basic page-view analytics only. No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Under GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent laws you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Plain English: You buy a license, you use the software, your data is yours. Don't resell or redistribute our products.
A one-time purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual license to install and use the software on up to 3 devices you own, for personal or commercial purposes, with all future updates included.
Direct purchases from takehills.org are all-sales-final. Purchases through the Windows Store, Apple App Store, or Google Play are subject to those platforms' refund policies (generally 30 days).
All data you create with TakeHills software belongs entirely to you. We make no claim to it and cannot access it.
Software is provided "as is" without warranty. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
What we're about: TakeHills builds practical, privacy-respecting tools for small businesses — tools you purchase once and keep, with no ongoing obligations.
TakeHills was founded with a straightforward purpose: to build well-crafted software that small business owners, freelancers, and independent professionals can rely on day to day. We focus on tools where local-first is the right fit — invoicing, bookkeeping, PDF management, client management — and we try to do it well.
Every product is built around three commitments: one fair price, your data stays with you, and built to last.
We'd love TakeHills to become a trusted name for small businesses looking for straightforward, locally-running tools. Not a platform. Not an ecosystem. Just a focused collection of software that does what it says and stays out of your way.
TakeHills is a small, independent team with no outside investment. Our incentives are simple: build things people want to pay for, and take care of the customers who do. We build fully offline, write honest documentation, handle support personally, and treat privacy as a design principle.
Summary: Our refund terms depend on where you purchased. Direct and platform sales are final. Purchases through the Windows Store, Apple App Store, or Google Play are subject to those platforms' own refund policies.
Products purchased directly from takehills.org or through various third-party selling platforms — such as Gumroad, Paddle, FastSpring, or similar — are sold on an all-sales-final basis.
Because TakeHills software is installed and runs entirely on your local device, we have no technical means of verifying usage, remotely disabling access, or enforcing a return once the software and license key have been delivered. For this reason, all direct and platform sales outside of major app stores are non-refundable.
We encourage you to review product descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you have questions about whether a product is right for you, contact us before buying — we're happy to help you decide.
If you purchased a TakeHills product through any of the following platforms, your purchase is governed by that platform's own refund policy:
TakeHills does not process refunds for app store purchases directly. Please contact the relevant platform's support team to initiate a refund.
Software updates are planned and intended to be made available to customers. The availability, timing, and delivery method of updates is subject to the platform through which you made your purchase.
While direct sales are final, we review cases individually where a significant technical issue prevents the software from functioning as described and our support team is unable to resolve it. Contact us with a description of the issue and your order details and we will do our best to find a fair resolution.
